General Information  

VENUE - GENERAL

The South African Gastroenterology Society (SAGES) 2008 Conference will be a combined meeting with the South African Society of Endoscopic Surgeons (SASES) as well as SAGINS and will be held in Cape Town at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). The Centre is centrally placed in close proximity to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, arguably the prime tourist destination in South Africa. Please visit the website at http://www.capetownconvention.com  for more information on the venue. The area has a large number of hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and other tourist attractions, all within easy reach of the CTICC. From here it is a short drive to the Cape Town International Airport (20 minutes) and to a number of prime tourist spots: Nelson Mandela Gateway (to Robben Island), Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch, Clifton beach, Cape Point and others.
